The Quickie Q500 M sits at the centre of the Q-Series and is best thought of as the true all-rounder. It offers a clear step up in power, range and suspension over the Q300 M, while remaining more compact and manageable indoors than the larger Q700 M.
The Q500 M base builds on the proven Salsa M2 platform but adds refinements such as improved anti-pitch technology, which noticeably smooths braking and stopping. True mid-wheel drive allows it to turn on the spot, while the slimmer base still fits well in lifts, doorways and indoor spaces. Outdoors, high-torque 4-pole motors deliver confident performance at speeds up to 8 mph, and all-wheel independent suspension absorbs bumps across rougher ground and kerbs up to 10 cm.
60 Ah batteries are supplied as standard, with 80 Ah available for users who need extended range — up to around 25 miles in real-world use depending on terrain and driving style.
The Q500 M is supplied with SEDEO Pro seating as standard — a fully prescriptive, modular system with seat widths from 15–22″ and depths from 16–22″, and a weight capacity of 25 stone. A wide range of backrests, cushions, lateral supports and headrests can be fitted, including JAY and third-party systems.
All powered seating options are available, including seat lift for eye-level driving at walking pace, up to 50° powered tilt, shear-reduced recline to a lie-flat position, and powered elevating leg rests. With SEDEO Pro seating, the Q500 M is fully crash-tested and pre-prepared for DAHL docking, allowing users to drive their WAV from the chair if required.
VR2 controls come as standard, with R-Net available for expanded functionality, Bluetooth/IR environmental control and high-definition joystick displays. The LINK-IT system supports specialist controls. Visually, the Q500 M keeps the understated Q-Series look, with seven interchangeable colour inlays.
