The Ki Mobility Little Wave Flip is designed around a different priority: maximum convenience for families, without giving up the configurability expected of a high-quality paediatric wheelchair. It combines wheelchair durability with design cues taken from strollers, resulting in a chair that folds quickly and compactly with a simple flip mechanism.
With a single action, the Flip collapses into a small package that fits easily into the back of most cars. This makes it particularly appealing where frequent transport, school runs or family outings are part of everyday life, and where lifting and storage need to be as straightforward as possible.
The Flip also introduces up to 45 degrees of tilt in space, adding a layer of comfort and postural support that is not present on the Clik. Tilt can be used to help manage posture, reduce pressure and provide a more relaxed sitting position during longer periods in the chair, particularly when the child is being pushed rather than self-propelling.
Seating on the Flip is fully configurable and can be built to provide a precise fit. Both seat width and depth can be adjusted over time, allowing the chair to accommodate growth spurts rather than being quickly outgrown. The modular seating system can also accept a wide range of third-party seating solutions, making it suitable where additional postural or pressure management support is required.
From a usability perspective, the Flip is very much parent- and carer-focused. Adjustable stroller-style handles make pushing intuitive and comfortable, while optional drum brakes provide additional control, particularly on slopes. An optional canopy can be added to offer protection from sun and rain, reinforcing the chair’s suitability for outdoor use and day-to-day family life.
Styling remains a strong point. Like other Ki Mobility products, the Flip can be customised with a wide range of frame colours, painted mag wheels and designer spoke guards, allowing it to feel playful and individual rather than purely functional.
The Little Wave Flip is best suited to children who are primarily pushed, or who need a combination of supportive seating, tilt and easy transport. While it supports growth and configuration, it is less focused on developing independent wheelchair skills than the Clik, and more on comfort, positioning and everyday convenience for families.
