The Karma Blazer 2 is designed to cover a lot of ground — literally and figuratively. With a compact chassis measuring just 58 cm wide, it is one of the narrowest powerchairs in its class, making it well suited to tight doorways, lifts and indoor spaces where bulk quickly becomes frustrating.
Outdoors, the Blazer 2 sets itself apart by offering a top speed of 6 mph, where many comparable chairs are limited to 4 mph. That extra speed makes longer journeys more practical and reduces the sense of being held back when travelling independently. Two-wheel adjustable suspension and large 9-inch front castors help smooth out uneven surfaces, keeping the ride controlled rather than harsh.
The Blazer 2 is fully crash-tested and suitable for occupied transport in a wheelchair-adapted vehicle. Styling is deliberately restrained, with a matt-black finish and subtle colour accents available in blue, orange or white — an unusually clean look for a chair in this category.
Where the Blazer 2 really divides is in its two seating options, which change the character of the chair more than the name might suggest.
The Captain’s Seat version of the Blazer 2 takes a different approach, prioritising comfort and simplicity. It features a large, contoured, padded seat designed to feel more like a traditional armchair, and is available in 18″ and 20″ widths.
While it does not support powered tilt, the Captain’s Seat includes manual backrest recline as standard, allowing the user to lean back and relax when seated. For many people, this is enough to stay comfortable during longer periods without the complexity of powered seating systems.
The seating is less modular than the Sling Seat, which means it is not as adaptable over time. However, it offers a more immediately comfortable and familiar sitting experience, particularly for users who do not need specialist positioning or powered functions.
This version is best suited to people who want straightforward comfort, minimal setup complexity, and a chair that feels intuitive from day one.
